PCA Outreach Services
The physicians of PCA initiated our committment to community-
based care in 1976. We recognized the necessity of addressing the
social and geographic obstacles that many New Mexico families face
in obtaining appropriate pediatric cardiac care for their children.
During 2007, PCA physicians performed 132 outreach clinics and
provided consultation or follow-up care to 2113 patients in 8 New
Mexico communities outside Bernalillo County, a 15% increase over
2006. Portable echo/Doppler equipment allows for high quality
diagnostic capabilities in all outreach locations.
